The Sarasota Seafood Festival, also known as the Sarasota Shrimp & Music Festival, takes place annually in beautiful Sarasota. Kick back and enjoy amazing weather, fine food, and great music in a relaxing atmosphere. Festivities kick off Friday, May 20, and run through Sunday, May 2022 until evening. Downtown Sarasota Enrichment Association hosts this free event produced by Paragon Festivals.
What would a seafood festival be without fresh fish and the finest seafood anywhere? Select from entrees of seafood, meat, and vegetarian dishes cooked fresh onsite. Side dishes, beverages of all kinds, and desserts will also be served.
Not to be outdone by all the amazing seafood, live musical performances round out the festival over several days. Expect some of the best musical talents in Sarasota and beyond. Performers include bands performing steel pan music, Americana, rock, dance music, alternative, reggae, blues, soul, swing, and more. Get There
From St. Armand’s Circle, take John Ringling BLVD across Rt. 41 to Cocoanut and Gulfstream. Head south towards JD Hamel Park at the intersection of Gulfstream and Main.
From North or South of Sarasota’s downtown area, take Rt. 41 toward Marina Plaza and Main. Go East on Main and continue to Gulfstream until you arrive at JD Hamel Park.
Parking
Garage parking is available at Palm Avenue Garage (1289 Palm Ave), one block from Main Street on North Palm Ave. The garage has hundreds of spaces to host guests, including handicap-accessible parking and elevators. Four reserved electric car-charging stations on the ground floor are also available.
State Street Garage (1538 State Street) provides access to State Street and Ringling Blvd. Parking is on levels 2 through 6 for cars and access on the ground floor for motorcycles, bikes, and handicap vans. Parking time limits are imposed from 2-4 hours, depending on which level visitors park on.
The 2nd Street Garage (1400 Block of 2nd Street) is direct across from Whole Foods on First and Second Streets. The second and third levels are for non-grocery store patrons where posted. A public access ramp is available on Second Street near the corner of Central Avenue. The City Parking Division monitors parking restrictions for time violations. The ground level is 2 hours max with levels 2 and 3 clocks in at a maximum of 4 hours of parking for guests.
