Swimming Pools in Sarasota
Florida is a great place to visit for beaches, swimming, and water activities like parasailing or surfing. Not everyone will think about a swimming pool, but it is nice to have some options when the weather isn’t great or they just want to hang poolside with family and friends. Whether it's to get in some laps, check out some rays without being on the public beaches or lounging with a drink, there are different pools to appeal to most any visitor to Sarasota.
Swimming Pool Sarasota
Arlington Park and Aquatic Center
Swimmers can enjoy exercise in the privacy of their own pool. Features a 50-meter lap pool and 25-yard instructional pool with wading pool. Check out some of the great amenities if staying awhile including swim lessons, adult fitness, and land-based exercise. Tennis and basketball courts are available along with a dog park for those four legged friends. Costs an additional fee (versus free beach) but not every beach allows dogs or has these types of amenities.
Fun Note: less than two miles from downtown Sarasota, this is a great spot to check out during super hot days or days too cool to be on the beach. This spot is a location on the Great Florida Birding & Wildlife Trail. Offers a wonderful nature hike and is owned by the City of Sarasota Parks & Recreation District.

Check out this fun spot when taking a break from other activities or just to relax. This resort will keep visitors and people on staycation cool, calm, and collected. Vacation rentals available along with over 150 activities to keep everyone busy. Amenities include a mega-slide, indoor fitness pool, wellness center, Olympic-sized swimming pool and not one, but TWO bark parks for furry friends to enjoy.
Noteworthy: pickleball, shuffleboard, and social dinners for people who want to add socializing to their list of activities. Great way to spend time with loved ones or friends and experience a relaxing atmosphere.
Lido Beach Pool
Pools are a great place to take a dip when not wanting to go out into open water or public beaches. Sometimes visitors need a little siesta from the crowds. Look no further than Lido Beach Pool with a 25-meter lap pool next to Lido Pavillion. On Lido Key, there are passes and punch cards for visitors. Offers 5 lanes to swim and concessions.
Lido Beach Resort
A great spot located on Lido Key. This resort offers beachfront property right on the Gulf of Mexico. With 222 guest rooms and condo-style suites, there are lots of amenities to keep everyone happy. Rooms may come with private balconies to enjoy the view. Upscale dining is available at Lido Beach Grille with casual outdoors fun and food at TIki Bar and Cafe Lidod.
Other Amenities: don’t forget to check out one of three jacuzzis, beach volleyball, bike rentals, and a complimentary shuttle to get guests to St. Armands Circle with shops and more restaurants for dining.
North Port Aquatic Center
This multimillion dollar water park is not to be missed as one of the best spots in Sarasota to relax and enjoy time in the sun away from the beach. Families find it economical being part of the parks and recreation department. Families can come, get pizza, a drink, and spend time in the pools lounging and relaxing in the sun. There are pools for classes, groups, teams and competitive swimming. Features slides, Relaxahatchee Lazy River, and a snack shack.
