Legacy Trail Map

The Legacy Trail runs parallel to the Gulf of Mexico and takes you through some of the most beautiful areas of the Sarasota-Venice region. The trailhead is located in Sarasota, just off of Clark Road, and winds its way south to Venice. Along the way, you'll pass through several parks and nature preserves, including Oscar Scherer State Park and the Venetian Waterway Park.

Sarasota is home to some of the best bike trails in Florida, with the Legacy Trail being one of the most popular. In addition to the Legacy Trail, there are several other bike trails in the area, including the Venetian Waterway Trail and the North Port Connector Trail.
